The math activities are organized into five groups: group one introduces sets of one through ten which prepares the child for counting and teaches the value of quantity; group two involves the decimal system using the golden bead material; group three deals with the processes of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using the golden bead material; group four consists of linear counting; group five contains memorization of facts and uses skittles and insets to introduce fractions. Order, coordination, concentration, and independence are developed by the child throughout.
