Ceramics | Wednesdays, 3:00-4:00pm The integration of art in a child's development can advance creativity and imagination while refining important motor skills. Clay is an enthralling and tactile medium for children to express their artistic creativity. Students will learn basic skills in hand building pottery. Each week, your child will create a fun, unique piece of art they can bring home and be proud of. We will introduce a new project or idea each class, presenting different clay techniques the children can use as a starting point to create a piece of art that is all their own. They will also be encouraged to share their goals for the day’s ceramics project.

Typical Class Projects include: Pinch pots: Getting the children familiar with the clay; Coil pots: Teaching children how to score and slip the clay; Mugs: Utilizing both techniques to create one cohesive art piece. Register

STEM: Science & Engineering | Thursdays, 3:00-4:00pm How does a child learn what light is? First they need to understand that light travels. How can a child possibly comprehend we are surrounded by air without learning what air is? In our Science & Engineering class, we teach students "why" then "what" to help them become more inquisitive and to show them how to to look at the world differently. Through hands-on experiments and projects, our class not only builds a foundational understanding of science and engineering, but a love of science at an early age. Register
